New mechanism for financing agricultural technologies supplied to agricultural enterprises set

Date: 06.08.2019

In recent years, the government directs significant attention to improving the efficiency of agricultural enterprises and state support for their equipping with modern high-performance agricultural machinery.

In particular, only in 2018, funds in the amount of 2 trillion 237 billion soums were allocated to finance the supply of relevant equipment in the field of agriculture, including 1 trillion 667 billion soums of budget funds.

Today, more than 25% of the technology park has been used in agriculture for over 15 years. This, in turn increases the necessity of work on equipping agricultural enterprises with modern machinery.

In order to update and modernize the fleet of agricultural machinery, provide farmers with high-quality and affordable equipment, provide them with timely after-sales service, and widely introduce market mechanisms to finance the production of competitive agricultural machinery, was adopted a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan № 578 of July 12 2019 “On measures to further strengthen the material and technical base of agricultural producers".

The main purpose of the decision is to ensure delivery on preferential leasing terms all types of agricultural machinery manufactured in the Republic of Uzbekistan, with the exception of grain and cotton harvesting equipment, including arable, row-crop, transport and garden tractors, three or more body reversible plows and multifunctional pneumatic and mechanical seeders.

Resolution stipulates the allocation of funds from the State budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan to compensate for 10 percent points accrued on the loan and leasing for the purchase of agricultural machinery.
